Fundraising and Awaraness Week

Ms environmental club has organized FUNDRAISING AND AWARENESS WEEK. It was launched on the 8th April and ended on the 13th April. There were magic shows, booths and exhibitions on the opening ceremony day. The opening ceremony took place in the auditorium. Maktab Sains is the first school in brunei to bring up this project! The club mentioned that the teachers and students have to bring their own eating utensils every Thursday from 11.30 am to 2 pm. They named it BRING-YOUR-OWN. Environmental club will rent eating utensils to those who forgot BUT they’ll charge them 10 cents per cent! It’s better to bring our own, right?  This is to reduce the use of plastics and Styrofoam in the school. They also planned to conduct more like this in the next term, two days a week. In teacher Rodziah’s speech, the teacher in charge, they are raising funds for recycle bins for each class. As a result, they have raised $300. She also hoped that teachers and students will make use the current recycle bins. The others that helped in organizing this project were Project V, Entrepreneurial club, Energy club, and economics students of PRA-U2. So BE FANTASTIC, USE LESS PLASTIC!
